He developed the Glogau Photoaging Classification, which is known in the lay press as "The Wrinkle Scale". This scale is a standard for patient selection in chemical peeling and laser resurfacing treatment of the aging face. The scale was used by Neutrogena Dermatologics to launch their Healthy Skin™ Product Line and  Retinol Anti-Wrinkle cream, and is quoted by Medicis Corporation in the Physicians Handbook which accompanies their chemical peeling product, B-LIFTx, a beta-salicylic acid peel system being introduced for epidermal peeling.

As a leader in the field of cosmetic dermatology and dermatologic research, he has participated as principal investigator in numerous clinical trials of injectable aesthetic agents like BOTOX®, Zyderm® collagen, Hylaform®, Restylane®, etc, which are required for FDA approval.

He is Cosmetic Surgery Senior Editor for the monthly journal Dermatologic Surgery, published by Elsevier. He was invited by Johnson & Johnson Worldwide Skin Care Companies to join their medical advisory council, a group of 40 dermatologists who have been recognized as leaders in their field.  He is a paid consultant to several medical device and pharmaceutical companies, including Neutrogena, Allergan, Medicis, Dermik, and Inamed. He is a medical consultant to ABC Medical News. Dr. Glogau has appeared on local and syndicated national medical television programs such as Dr. Dean Edell, Extra!, 20/20, and is a featured guest on Fox Broadcasting's Mornings on 2.  He is an active member of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.
