A Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of California, Richard G. Glogau, M.D. is an expert in cosmetic dermatology with 25 years of experience as a leader in the field. Since the 1970's, Dr. Glogau has developed a national and international reputation for "cutting-edge" dermatology, especially in cosmetic surgery and the treatment of skin cancer.

Dr. Glogau is a graduate of Harvard Medical School and is Board Certified in Dermatology. He is recognized for his contributions at the local, national, and international levels in dermatologic surgery. He continues to train dermatologic surgeons from the U.S. and abroad. Currently, he is co-director of a fellowship in cosmetic dermatologic and Mohs surgery at UCSF.

An expert on the cosmetic use of Botox® for facial frown lines and wrinkles, he pioneered research on the novel use of the drug for excessive sweating of hands and underarms, and was featured on ABC's 20/20. He lectures extensively on topics in cosmetic dermatology including aesthetics of facial beauty, soft tissue augmentation, photoaging, and resurfacing.  Current clinical research interests include the use of Botox®  and soft tissue augmentation.  Dr Glogau also conducts numerous clinical trials of cosmetic surgical devices and by Allure Magazine as one of the most influential dermatologists in the U.S.

He was selected by his peers for inclusion in every edition from 2001 on for Castle and Connolly’s "Best Doctors" list, a national survey of the most prominent doctors in their respective specialties. In addition he has been included in Woodward and White’s “2,000 Best Doctors in America”.
